Michael A. Wiley - Founder/Managing Member
Michael A. Wiley is the visionary founder of BlackSpear Funding, initially launched as GlobleOne Financial back in 2008, however, following the economic crash in 2028, Wiley an admirer of BlackRock the largest financial management firm in the world, influenced the name change of the company to BlackSpear Funding in 2020. With an impressive tenure exceeding two decades in the commercial lending sphere, Michael has honed his expertise as a commercial loan underwriter, loan processor, and professional loan packaging specialist. Wiley developed the first commercial loan underwriting system in 2004 to eliminate human errors in loan underwriting, improving the default ratio in commercial lending to less than 0.25% when banks average 25% default ratios today, based on an average loan for most institutional lenders.
His extensive experience encompasses construction loans, refinance, purchase, small business and ADOS loans, business plan development, marketing, and financial operational plans. Before founding BlackSpear Funding, Michael made significant strides in the small business lending industry, working closely with banks and the SBA as an independent small business loan underwriter, and SBLC consultant, mortgage software developer, cementing his reputation as a commercial loan specialist. Addys Walker - Founder/Member
Mr. Addy's Walker, the Chief Operating Officer at BlackSpear Funding, brings a wealth of knowledge from his privately owned company "Starting Point Capital", which he still heads up today. Addys, (pronounced ADD-DIS), and (SPC), is a renowned commercial loan consulting firm based in Tallahassee, Florida, specializing in commercial loan re-engineering and financial structuring. Joining the team in 2020, post-pandemic, Mr. Walker has been instrumental in reshaping the company's operational framework with his expertise in financial engineering and loan structuring for commercial real estate transactions, financial solutions, and private banking relationships nationwide.
As the founder of Starting Point Capital and a respected partner, he is deeply entrenched in various financial networks, including hedge funds, financial investment firms, and private banking relationships, specializing in commercial property and corporate finance re-engineering. Contact Addys
LaSalle Thompson, Founder/SVP Marketing & Promotions
LaSalle Thompson joined BlackSpear Funding in 2017, bringing a unique blend of marketing prowess and an illustrious background in professional sports. LaSalle has established a vast network among athletes and sports organizations across the NBA, NFL, and MLB as a former 15-year NBA professional.
His role at BlackSpear Funding leverages this extensive network, focusing on small business development and fostering growth among startup small businesses and marketing. LaSalle's experience managing and promoting professional athletes for several sports teams sets the foundation for innovative marketing and development strategies at BlackSpear Funding. Lawrance Brooks, Founder/SVP of Business Ingenuity Group
